People with lower income abilities around the world have been destabilized by the COVID 19 pandemic. As people with enough resources started recovering, while those with fewer resources who have no safety nets struggled to rebuild their lives.

The situation had further exacerbated existing economic hardships for people with chronic diseases (chronic kidney patients) as their families are unable to pay for their required lifesaving treatment and basic needs.

UWT (Pak) under the Hardship Assistance project provided essential support in form of PKR 25,000 each cash grant to 73 kidney patients who are also receiving regular dialysis sessions at Ummah Dialysis Centre.
