Solar panel installed in 42 Masajid last year
By electrifying Masajid that has been built by UWT (Pak) under the Masjid Construction Project, the project will help allow the daily visiting worshippers to offer their congregational prayers and young children to learn the basics of Islam, Insha’Allah as the installed Solar Systems will generate enough clean energy for their daily consumption on a long-term basis.
Accessing water at these Masajid for sanitation purpose during long hours of power cuts remain a struggle as the cost of fuel and maintenance of generator systems for required power supply is a burden for these resources strapped communities.
Through Solar Power Support project, UWT (Pak) effectively installed 42 Solar Systems (3.6 kWh—Generation Capacity) at the rooftops of 42 Masjids in 07 different districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.
