We are now in the month of Sha’ban, alhamdulillah. A virtuous month in which we prepare for the great month that follows.

Sadly, as Ramadhan nears again, hundred of thousands of Muslims across Pakistan will not have enough to feed and support themselves.

In Pakistan, whole communities will need provisions to help them fast the long blessed days.

‘When the month of Sha’ban arrived, Muslims would immerse themselves in the Qur’an and they would discharge their zakat to empower the weak and poor for Ramadhan’s fasts. (Fath al-Bari)

For the start of Sha’ban, Ummah Welfare Trust has launched an emergency Iftar appeal to ensure that our brothers and sisters in Pakistan have food on their table, this Ramadhan.

Provisions for the full month can be provided for just PKR 12,360.

Let us use Sha’ban’s blessed days to prepare for the even better days next month. And let us begin by sharing our Iftar with Ummah.

Food Insecure Families were given Iftar packs in the past years

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
‘Whoever feeds a fasting person will have a reward like that of the fasting person, without any reduction in his own reward.’
