Areas of Pakistan are lacking basic water infrastructure where recurring natural disasters had already devastated the existing water infrastructure exposing millions of people to consume contaminated water on daily basis making them vulnerable to waterborne diseases finally forcing them to spend their much hard earned earning on health-care services.
In most rural areas with no access to safely managed drinking water the daily water collection is performed by women and girls as they have to walk on long distance to collect water for their families.
Through installation of Water Filtration Plant, UWT (Pak) eliminated the daily long walk, and saved physically demanding hours used for the collection of water for different local communities of Punjab province of Pakistan where water filtration plants been installed.
