In Pakistan today, where only private schooling is available, poor families, especially if displaced, struggle to pay schooling fees for their children’s education.
This has two lasting effects: children miss out on a fundamental education; and poor teachers, receiving little to no remuneration, are forced to abandon their profession.
To tackle this problem, Ummah Welfare Trust supports qualified teachers and reimburses them for their teaching. Through this scheme, the charity engenders free high-quality education from committed teachers for poor rural children.
Under Ummah Welfare Trust (Pak) initiated Teacher Sponsorship project for the year 2017-18, 591 Islamic Teachers of Pakistan (471) and Afghanistan (120) been assisted to easily support their families and provide their valuable teaching support to the enrolled students who are completing their Nazira Quran at the sponsored classes as the registered Islamic Teachers received a monthly stipend of PKR 5,000 as financial support.
