An estimated 26 million people in Pakistan live in slums. Natural disasters and civil strife unfortunately means that this figure continues to rise.
For families whose homes have been either destroyed or damaged, Ummah Welfare Trust provides for them new sturdy housing. The need for housing became greater in these countries due to poverty. Model villages have been built in the past in Wisalabad, near Risalpur in Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa. Another such model village was built at Rohela Wali in District Muzaffargarh of Punjab as well as Tehsil Sajawal in District Thatha of Sindh province.
Upon completion, recipients, whether displaced or impoverished, enjoy a new two-bedroom home with a courtyard and drainage.
Shelter is one the biggest blessings a person can have. Help provide this blessing to a family in Pakistan for just 310,000 PKR.
A full report will be provided after completion of the house to donors who contribute towards the full construction of a house.
