As Allah’s Word, the status of the Qur’an is unrivalled. It is the basis of all religious learning, and, for this reason, Muslims from the dawn of Islam have striven preserve it and expound its meanings.
The Messenger of Allah SalalAllahu ‘alayhi wasallam emphasised the importance of teaching the Noble Book, stating, ‘The best amongst you is the one who learns the Quran and teaches it,’ (Sahih al-Bukhari).
As part of its education drive, Ummah Welfare Trust supports the Islamic tradition of memorising the Qur’an by sponsoring hifdh students in Pakistan.
Sponsored students are provided with a monthly stipend, allowing them to commit full time to this noble endeavour. Hifdh course generally lasts 3 years for the memorization of the Quran. (However, this is dependent on each individual’s capabilities).
You can sponsor one such student for just 2,250PKR a month.
A full sponsorship entitles the donor for an annual feedback report.
